THE NEILSEN GROUP

Neilsens core businesses are pre-mixed concrete supply, concrete aggregate and general quarry product supply, fly ash supply, and the transport of each of these.

From our inception as a family owned and operated company in Brendale in 1976, Neilsens Quality Gravels Pty Ltd has become renowned as a supplier and manufacturer of high quality gravel and quarry products. A second quarry at Beaudesert commenced operation in 1997, with Bromelton then coming on board in 2008 to help with the increasing demand.

Neilsens Concrete Pty Ltd began trading at our Brendale gravel site in 1993. In 1997 an additional concrete batching plant commenced operation at Carole Park and with continuing high demand for quality, Windsor started supplying the inner city and surrounding suburbs in 2004. Looking ahead we will be opening our 4th concrete plant at Stapylton mid 2010. Our NATA registered testing and technical support laboratory is located at Carole Park.  

Every Neilsen employee is committed to the quality and reliability of our products and services. This begins when the customer makes first contact with our sales teams. It also comes from the level of knowledge of our dispatch and administration staff.  In an industry dealing with the public, product knowledge, experience and servicing skills are the criteria by which we should be judged.  

We are able to integrate the services usually expected of a large national company with the attention you only receive from a principal owned and managed business.

In every year of operation, the group has continued to grow to become one of the largest independently owned concrete and quarry operations based in Queensland.  The group currently runs a fleet of 48 concrete agitators, supported by a fleet of modern well maintained quarry tippers and pneumatic tankers.

In recognition of the need to ensure that our systems meet the standards of best practice, The Neilsen group has adopted the outline of the Australian Standard AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 and continues to develop a Quality Assurance Certification program to meet with the market place needs and contractual requirements.

KEY PERSONNEL
There is a wealth of experience within the Neilsen Group and we are pleased to provide the credentials of the key personnel.

Ray Neilsen - Founding Director of Neilsens Quality Gravels Pty Ltd and Neilsens Concrete Pty Ltd with more than 30 years of quarry experience. Ray has been the CEO of these companies, since their inception and has been the driving force behind the growth of the organisation. Although Ray is now retired he still plays a vital role in the major decisions for the companies and is Chairman of the Board.

Mario Panuccio (B.Eng., M.I. of Eng Aust., C.P.Eng) - The current CEO of The Neilsen Group of companies, Mario has more than 30 years experience in the construction materials industry and has held Senior Management and Executive Positions at Head Office, State and National levels, both in Australia and overseas with quarry, fly ash, precast and concrete companies.

Stephen Williams (BFA CPA) - Is the current CFO for the Neilsen group of companies. Stephen with over 20 years experience in the construction materials industry, has held several senior accounting and management positions at a regional, state and national level with a large construction materials multinational prior to joining Neilsens.

Arthur Walton - Group Concrete Manager of Neilsens Concrete Pty Ltd, Arthur has 25 years experience in the concrete industry, including 16 years with one of the major companies. Arthur joined the Neilsens team in 2000 to help expand our concrete customer database and is coming up to his tenth year of service.

Robert Snowden (B.Eng., M.I. of Eng Aust., C.P.Eng) - Group Quarry Manager of Neilsens Quality Gravels Pty Ltd. After 6 years in the Construction Industry working on major projects in Queensland and NSW, Rob entered the Construction Materials Industry, and over a 23 year period held senior managerial positions in WA, Victoria and Hong Kong in the concrete and quarrying fields. In addition, Rob was GM of a major Victorian Spray Sealing Company for 4 years
